Nobutaka Shioden ( 四王天延孝, 1878-1962) was a lieutenant general in the Imperial Japanese Army, propagandist of Jewish conspiracy theories during and after World War II and a legislator in the Diet of Japan. The present work “Yudaya shiso oyobi undo” contained an introduction by the former Prime Minister Kiichiro Hiranuma (1867-1952). Shioden's claimed that international Jewry held excessive behind-the-scenes influence over governments and economics for the secret purpose of world domination. A year after publication, Shioden was elected to a seat in the House of Peers in the Diet of Japan and held his seat until the dissolution of that body.
After the surrender of Japan, Shioden was arrested by the American occupation authorities, and was charged with Class A war crimes but was released in 1947 without coming to trial. Shioden remained a leading voice of antisemitic propaganda in Japan throughout his life. See D.G. Goodman & M. Miyazawa, Jews in the Japanese Mind: the History and Uses of a Cultural Stereotype (1995). And: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobutaka_Shiōden.
