מכתב מאת האדמו"ר רבי מנחם מנדל שניאורסון – הרבי מליובאוויטש, חתום בחתימת יד קדשו. ברוקלין, ניו יורק, כ"ז אדר ב' תשכ"ה [1965].
מודפס במכונת כתיבה על נייר מכתבים רשמי של הרבי, וחתום בחתימת יד קדשו.
נשלח אל הרה"ח חיים שלום סגל בירושלים, לרגל הולדת נכדתו: "הנה יה"ר מהשי"ת שהורי' שיחיו יגדלוה לתורה ולחופה ולמעשים טובים מתוך הרחבה. וירוו מהם ומכל יו"ח [יוצאי חלציהם] שיחיו רוב נחת יהודי אמיתי חסידותי".
הרב חיים שלום הלוי סגל (תרע"ח-תשמ"ג), מייסד ומשפיע בית הכנסת חב"ד "בית יהודה" בשכונת נחלאות בירושלים, דור שישי לבעל התניא. עסק עשרות שנים בפירוש רש"י על התורה וחיבר את סדרת הספרים "תוספת רש"י" על התנ"ך.
