Chuck Boux Massive Hand Blown Glass
Massive Chuck Boux hand blown contemporary cameo glass scenic of palm trees, indigenous person, Crain, and ship, 18" ht., cameo signed. Chuck Boux worked in electrical construction for 17 years until a visit to the Met in NYC prompted his interest in glass. Seeing glass objects that had been blown more than 500 years ago inspired him to learn the technique and he immediately quit his job to construct a glass furnace. Boux often tells people who buy his work that they are not merely acquiring but assuming an obligation to preserve the piece and ensure its survival for future generations.
