A JOHN BOWLES (1701-1799) ENGRAVING OF ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, 18TH CENTURY
A colored engraving of St. Petersburg in Russia produced by the English engraver John Bowles (1701-1799) during the reign of Catherine the Great. In particular, the view shows the Winter Canal which connects Bolshaya Neva to the Moika River near to the Winter Palace.
England, 18th century.
