Original hand tooled pigskin over wooden boards , ribbed spine decorated with blind stamping,
traces of old metal clasps
Some marginal period annotations in black or red

Good condition, some wear
Title with a beautiful frame, the same one that can be found in the work "Vetus testament omne, advetustissimoni emedatissumorucq codicum..."
With mark of the printer Andre Cratander on the colophon, after a drawing by Hans Holbein the Younger and engraved by Jacob Faber in 1522.
The phrase in Greek specifies the meaning of the motto Occasio: "In all things, it is better to seize the right moment".
Andreas Cratander, real name Andreas Hartmann (1490- circa 1540) was a Swiss printer, publisher and bookseller.
