AN EXCELLENT GERMAN IMPERIAL ENGRAVED BAYONET M1871
An Imperial Germany complete M1871 Seitengewehr bayonet with engraved blade. The handle is stamped: 62. A. 2. 158. The scabbard throat has the same matching arsenal marks. The blade is engraved with a scene of horse-drawn artillery and a regimental name and number: "Ostfriesiches Feld Art. Regt. 62"". The blade spine is decorated with engraved laurel leaves. The scabbard is original it is made of stitched leather. The fittings are made of brass.
