A SEVRES GILT-PORCELAIN CUP AND SAUCER, 19TH CEN.
A beautiful cup and saucer pair made of Sevres-style porcelain and gilt. Both items are painted with gilt along the rims and stars throughout the surface. The cup is painted with the imagery of two lions bearing flags with coats of arms and a scroll on each side with the lettering "AUSTRICO. SEMPER FIDELIS". The saucer is painted with a monogram and crown at the center (possibly the monogram of King Louis Philipp). Both are marked on the base with Sevres crossed "L's".
