A WW2 NAZI GERMANY OFFICER LION'S HEAD SWORD EXTRA LONG

WW2 3rd Reich pattern lion head sword (Carl Eickhorn "Field marshall series"), as worn by a German Army officer during the period 1938-1945. The sword features the classic lion’s head pommel, featuring twin ruby set eyes and a triple wire wrapped black grip, mounted onto a stylized and decorative gilded brass back strap and ‘p’ shaped guard. The langet shows a Nazi eagle and a swastika. The slightly curved nickel blade is maker-marked by Eickhorn Solingen. The blade is in mint condition, bright and clean overall. The scabbard is of black enamel.
