A FRENCH SEVRES GILT PORCELAIN CUP AND SAUCER, 19TH CEN.
French Sevres porcelain cup and saucer. The cup is of a gravy boat form, richly adorned with gilding and relief green painted patterns depicting laurel branches and scrolled foliage motifs and a sun face mask on the front side. The handle is modeled as an acanthus leaf spray. The deep saucer is decorated in the same style.
Saucer L: 7 in., (17.5 cm.); Cup H: 5 1/2 in., (11 cm.)
Condition: The cup and saucer are in good condition overall. The paint and gilding are well-preserved. There is a hairline crack on the saucer.
