A CIRCASSIAN CAUCASIAN MIQUELET FLINTLOCK RIFLE SIZED FOR A BOY, CA. 19 C.
A small Circassian (probably Daghestaniani) miquelet flintlock rifle made for a boy. The breech (approximately) one-third of the barrel and lock are decorated with brass inlay forming a floral motif. The barrel is fixed to the stock by three steel bands. The butt is of carved horn. The stock tip is made of polished horn and is slightly damaged (several cracks).
L: 35 in., (88.5 cm.)
Condition: Good overall, the horn stock tip is cracked.
