A RARE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL ARMY SHOULDER BOARD, 1900
A Russian army poruchik's shoulder board. The military rank 'poruchik' is equal to the European and American lieutenant (from Latin 'locum tenens' - 'holding place'). Three small stars and a red stripe indicate the rank. A small silvered-bronze button featuring the Russian Imperial Eagle.
1907-1914.
L: 6 in., (15 cm.)
Condition: Very good with minor signs of wear. The red velevet on the reverse is original.
