AN EXCELLENT PAIR OF OVER-AND-UNDER CAP ACTION PISTOLS
A pair of 54-bore flintlock box-lock rifled over-and-under tap-action pistols. London ca. 1790. With turn-off cannon barrels and rifled with eight grooves, sliding safety-catch. The ring-neck cocks, decorated with blueing. Trigger-guards. The figured flat-sided butts from walnut in excellent condition, in the upper part there are silver inserts in the form of shields. Magnificent artifacts from the late 18th century.
