A NAZI GERMAN PRE-WAR LUFTWAFFE AIRCREW BADGE
A Nazi German pre-War Aircrew badge, the first qualification badge recognized by the Luftwaffe, was made of nickel silver in the sideway oval form with the national eagle clutching a Nazi swastika and a wreath around the outside rim. Marked on verso with the manufacturer C. E. Juncker Berlin S. W. hallmark. The reverse has a horizontal pin-back construction. Was instituted in 1933. Replaced by a newer Pilot and Observer badge instituted by Goring in 1936.
