Die Komposition Lorenzo Lottos wiederaufnehmend, hat der Maler des 17. Jahrhunderts es verstanden, Christus in den Mittelpunkt des Geschehens zu rücken, jedoch die Farben der Vorlage zu variieren, was unter Umständen einem Stich nach dem Originalgemälde geschuldet sein könnte.
