In gekehltem bronzierten Rahmen mit Akanthusblattdekor.
Für den genannten Maler typische Ruinencapricci, welche großformatig den gesamten Bildraum bespielen und durch deren Zwischenräume nur sekundär Landschaften und Ruinenversatzstücke erkennbar sind, wie hier die Pyramide des Caius Cestius. Rest.
Provenienz:
In den 1990er-Jahren im Mailänder Kunsthandel erworben. Giancarlo Sestieri bestätigte die Zuschreibung in einem Schreiben vom 17.01.1997, und Ferdinando Arisi, welcher der Zuschreibung ebenfalls zustimmt, schlägt eine Datierung um 1725 vor. (1201426) (13)

Restored.
Provenance:
Purchased in the 1990s on at an art dealer in Milan. Giancarlo Sestieri confirms the attribution to the artist in a letter dated 17 January 1997 and Ferdinando Arisi, who agrees with this attribution, suggests the date for its creation around 1725.
