JOSEPH GOEBBELS INSCRIBED BOOK TO HIS BROTHER
Extremely rare war-period personal inscription by Joseph Goebbels (1897-1945) to his older brother Hans. Joseph Goebbels' book 'Der Steile Aufstieg' (The rapid ascent), published in 1943, given to his brother Hans Goebbels and his wife Hertha (Schell) as a Christmas gift in 1943, inscribed: 'To Hans and Hertha with my heartfelt Christmas wishes Joseph 24.XII.43.' Hans Goebbels (1895-1947) was promoted in 1942 to SA-Oberfuhrer and died 1947 in a French internment camp. Written in black ink on the front fly leaf, published by Zentralverlag der NSDAP, Franz Eher Nachf., Munich 1943. 474 pp.. Cover design by Mjolnir (Hans Schweitzer), pages toned, chipping, splits and crack of covers and spine. A very rare exemplar with Joseph Goebbels' autograph.
