(1893-1946) German Nazi politician and high-ranking member of the Third Reich, Ribbentrop was appointed as ambassador to the United Kingdom in 1936. He succeeded Neurath as Nazi Germany's Foreign Minister in 1938 and served until the end of the war. He became the first of those sentenced to death at Nuremberg to be hanged. Typed letter signed on his personal letterhead, to Wilhelm Brueckner, Adolf Hitler's chief adjutant until 1940, in London, 1. December 1937, reading: 'Dear party comrade Brueckner, I just heard that your wife gave birth to a healthy boy. I share your happiness about this big event in the house of Brueckner. My wife and I would like to offer you and your wife our warmest and most sincere congratulations. With comradely greetings and Heil Hitler!' Boldly signed by Ribbentrop in black ink. 1 page, 7 x 8.75 inches, one staple upper left and embossed in the upper left corner with the Ribbentrop family crest. With a black-and-white photograph of von Ribbentrop in his SS uniform at his desk, 7.25 x 9 inches.
