JEWISH ID KENNKARTE ISSUED TO GERMAN JEW FROM BERLIN
Scarce German identification pass or Kennkarte for a Jewish man from Berlin. The card was issued in Berlin, 180. Police District, on March 14, 1939, to Kurt Julian 'Israel' Berger, born 28. March 1895 in Berlin. The pass bears his dentification photo, right and left index fingerprint, and a 3 Reichsmark stamp for the required fee. The pass is set to expire 14 March 1944. The cover reads in black print 'Deutsches Reich Kennkarte', with a large capital 'J' in the center. Four pages, 4 x 5 7/8 inches (10.3 x 15 cm). One horizontal fold.
