1940 GERMAN BROADSIDE ANNOUCING ARMISTICE AT COMPIEGNE
Special edition of the Thuringer Gauzeitung, Friday, 21. June 1940, headlined 'Delivery of the Terms of the Armistice in the forest of Compiegne'. On 22 June 1940, another armistice with France was signed between Nazi Germany and the defeated France in Le Francport, near Compiegne, in the same place as in 1918, in the same railroad carriage, but with the seats swapped. 16 x 10 inches, horizontal fold, minor tear on right and left sides.
