IVAN KONEV MARSHAL OF THE SOVIET UNION
(1897-1973) Soviet general and Marshal of the Soviet Union who led Red Army forces on the Eastern Front during World War II. Secret Soviet one-page document from 1940 recommending senior political commander Boris Zakharov to be put in position of Head of the House of the Red Army of the 28th Air Force base. Signed by Konev at bottom of page. 11.5 x 8 inches. File holes on left side.
