FRANZ HRDLICKA
(1920-1945) Luftwaffe Ace, recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, killed in action at the young age of 25. Credited with 60 aerial victories. Scarce signature on a questionnaire for voluntary service in Wehrmacht. Signed twice by Franz Hrdlicka, dated October 1939. In the questionnaire he is requesting to be assigned to the Luftwaffe - Fliegertruppe in Spring 1940, committing for 4 1/2 or 2 years. He states his birthdate as 15. October 1920, place of birth Maxdorf, Bruenn (Brno), Czech Republic. At the time he states he was single, without children, and a member of the NSFK. 8.5 x 8 inches, trimmed at the bottom.
