Cal./Size: 1 ?-inches in diameter and 4 ?-inches high. Color: Black. Manufacturer: Unknown Country of Origin: United States Trainer: No. Long Description: All black projectile marked “40MM; PROOF; CART. XM385E3. The cartridge case has a very small, 3/16-inch, primer opening. The case headstamp is “40MM XM169; LOT 1-AF.I -1963”. Vietnam War era. 2) Item Description: 40x53mm functioning dummy cartridge. Type Designator/Model: M385. Cal./Size: 1 ?-inches in diameter and 4 ?-inches high. Color: Olive drab with yellow markings. Manufacturer: Unknown Country of Origin: United States Trainer: Yes. Long Description: This is a solid projectile and cartridge case. Printed on the projectile is “11014901” in small letters. The primer pocket is filled with a semi-hard rubber to cushion the firing pin. There is a small hole in the nose of the projectile.
