Antique c1900 Log Cabin Quilt
Antique c1900s Log Cabin Quilt measuring 75 x 83 inches. It is comprised of 72 log cabin blocks, 8.5 x 8.5 inches, set straight, 8 by 9, with a 4 inch solid red border. There is thin cotton batting and a solid red reverse. The edge is finished with and applied red bias tape binding. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted. I believe the red border, quilting, backing, and edge are NOT from the same time period as the log cabin center, they are newer additions. It is in fair condition with several fabrics starting to deteriorate and white spots on a border. Lots of great fabrics including Garibaldi reds, indigos, neons, clarets, and much more.
