Also in this auction is a large collection of quilts and tops from a Wisconsin Collector, collections from Kansas and Connecticut. The NY Collection includes Woven Coverlets, Blankets, and Deerfield Embroidered Quilts. We are also excited to continue to offer the Textile Document Sample Collection from a well known NYC textile and garment design archive which provided design and concept inspiration to fashion and textile designers around the world for more than 25 years!

2 Vintage Quilts with Applique Flowers
Includes a c1950s Floral Applique with 4 Flower Bud Motifs measuring 74 x 98 inches. It is comprised of 24 blocks, 16 x 16 inches, set straight, 4 by 6, with 5 inch off white vertical borders and 3 inch wide white horizontal borders. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is a thin cotton batting and off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. It is in fair condition with overall toning, small spots, and storage line discoloration. That should soak out. Along with a c1950 Friendship Dahlia quilt measuring 79 x 93 inches. It is comprised of 30 blocks, 13 x 13 inches, set straight, 5 by 6, with an off white 6.5 inch border. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and off white cotton reverse. The edges are unbound, it needs a binding. It is in fair condition with overall toning and dark discolorations and other small spots. These quilts are part of the Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon's Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon was THE authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
