Vintage 1935 Feathered Star - Columbus Ohio
Vintage red, white, and blue Feathered Star pattern quilt measuring 83x83 inches. In one corner is a hand embroidered dedication to Raymond from Mother 1935 Luella CK Zettle Columbus Ohio. The fabrics appear to be earlier. This is a complicated pattern to execute, comprised of 9 white squares, 12.5x12.5 inches, set straight, 3 by 3, with partial blocks setting squares; the design is in the sashing 6.5 inch wide sashing. The workmanship in this quilt is outstanding. It is meticulously hand pieced, densely hand quilted, and hand embroidered. There is a thin cotton batting, and white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with a blue print applied binding. There is a sleeve on the back for hanging. It is in very good condition with only a few small faded spots. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
