San Ildefonso Pueblo Blackware Bowl
An unmarked but very fine burnished blackware bowl from San Ildefonso Pueblo (Northern Pueblos, New Mexico) probably from 1930-50. The bowl is decorated with a burnished Avanyu or water serpent which is a hallmark of decoration from this pueblo. Measurements: 4" diameter x 4" deep. Condition: Light scratches.
