Two Santa Clara Pottery Pieces Incl Frances Naranjo
Two Santa Clara blackware decorated pots. The first a very fine egg shaped pot signed Clara Suazo. The Suazo family is well documented as potters at Santa Clara and this burnished pot clearly demonstrates the high quality of their work. The second is a wedding vase with cut geometric decoration signed Frances Naranjo (1936-2002), who is regarded as one of the "best potters of her generation." Measurement: Wedding vase: 8" tall Pot: 7" tall, 3" diameter Condition: Scraping to pot caused by storage. Overall good.
