In the late 1980s, for various political reasons, the foundation's management in the US stopped collecting through boxes with the map of Israel printed on them. To avoid legal complications and continue collecting in the blue boxes known to the public, a quick and cheap solution was found: a paper wrapper was glued to the box and hid the map , which was replaced by an illustration of the Western Wall.
