Dark Blue and Gold Hand Painted Porcelain Vase
Up for auction is an exceptional porcelain vase. This piece is highlighted by an intricate gold pattern that stretches from the lid to base. The dark blue color of the vase is striking and sophisticated, creating a vivid backdrop for the piece’s hand painted motif. Depicting a different classical Rococo scene on each side, this vase shows two different sets of lovers. Each couple is set against a natural scene as is typical of the Rococo style. The piece is executed in pastel shades of blue, green, and red. It’s completely painted by hand and composed of porcelain. The vase has never been used and measures 30 inches in height by 15 inches in width.
