AN INDIAN KHANJAR DAGGER
Of classic form, the pierced grip with rolled pommel, finely inlaid with scrolling vegetal motifs and parrots. The broad, double-edged blade of pattern-welded damascus steel with silver inlay decoration. In its pierced steel and silver-inlaid scabbard with velvet. 20th c. Possibly produced for the Delhi Durbar of 1936 at the accession of King George VI which was ultimately canceled. Minor wear. Overall length 26.4cm. Condition I
