Bow Joseph Fonclause. Paris.

Description:
Weight = 59,6 g. Bow by Joseph Fonclause (1799-1862). Bow with the certificate of authenticity.
Information:
Joseph Fonclause (1799-1862) was a French bow master. He was taught by Étienne Pajot in Mirecourt, with whom he worked together later. Joseph Fonclause moved to Paris approximately in 1832, and probably joined "Tourte" workshop transiently. Then he joined J.B. Vuillaume's workshop, where he worked until 1840. Since 1840 he worked on Pagelin street, and in the end of his life he moved to Rue de Constantine. Joseph Fonclause used three different stamps: - two with wide letters, one with the dot after the name. - one with smaller letters. But often his bows are without label.
Defects:
By request.
