Signed original painting with a matt but no frame by an artist with a 50 year career. Hoffman was a founding member and past president of the Columbus Watercolor Society and also a board member of the Ohio Watercolor Society. He exhibited in both Societies annual shows and in national exhibitions in which he won many major awards. Although he was primarily a Columbus, Ohio, painter he worked extensively in Maine and excelled at harbor scenes and views of the Maine coast. His body of work spans a 50 year period and his paintings are found in collections throughout the East and Midwest. The subject matter is a well known restaurant in Columbus.
