DESCRIPTION: A GERMAN CERAMIC HAVDALAH PLATE,   CIRCA 1900 with the inscription: "Mitzvat Adonai barah me'irat einayim." (Psalms 19, 9: The Mitzvah [Commandment] of the Lord is clear, enlightening the eyes." 

Inside a Magen David (Star of David) is written: "Gut voch und gut yahr, " that is: "Good week and good year" in Yiddish. On the plate is a painting of grape leaves
