Tanya - first edition of the Tanya by the Holy Lubavitcher Rebbe, which was printed by him by order of his Father-in-law the Rebbe Rayatz. Munich 1947.
The Rebbe writes in his foreword
, 'By the order of the Admor Shalita I hereby publish by the branch of 'Kehas', Munich, the Sefer Likkutei Amarim [Tanya] by the holy Admor HaZaken'.
Added to this edition were short glosses by the Rabbi the Tzemach Tzeddek, a letter by the Rebbe Rayatz, facsimile by the Admor HaZaken,
table of errors and an index edited by the undersigned, that is, the holy Lubavitcher Rebbe.
This edition has two title pages. One from the Vilna [1940] edition, with a foreword by the Rebbe who signed his name 'Menachem Schneersohn' Menachem Av 20, 1947, on its back and the second of the Kehat edition.
