Letter by Rabbi Tuvia Hacohen Fischer Rabbi of Sarvar to Rabbi Yosef Tzvi Duschinski Rabbi of Galanta.


Long letter requesting help of Rabbi Duschinsky and asking him to grant ordination as a Shochet for a young man whom his brother in law the Rabbi of Beled [Rabbi Yoel Fellner] considered qualified, in order to help him secure a position and support himself.


A short 3 line Torah note is added to the letter.


The Gaon Rabbi Tuvia HaCohen Fischer (1880-1923), student of the Chasan Sofer of Mattersdorf and of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Breuer of Papa. Son-in-law of Rabbi Shimon Chaim Fellner of Beled. Rabbi of Sarvar from 1893 until his passing in 123.

The Gaon Rabbi Yosef Tzvi Duschinski (1867-1949), student of the Shevet Sofer of Pressburg and of Rabbi Moshe Pollak of Bonyhad. Son-in-law of Rabbi Mordechai Leib Winkler of Mad - the Levushei Mordechai. Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva in Galanta and Chust, before being appointed Rabbi of the Eida Charedis in Yerushalayim in 1933. One of the most prominent and respected rabbinic leaders of his time in Hungary and Eretz Yisrael.
