Letter by the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yakov Sofer Rabbi of Tet to the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Baumgarten Rabbi of the Schiffschul in Vienna. Tet 1931.
Letter of recommendation for his son Rabbi Eliezer Mordechai Efraim-Fishel Sofer Rabbi of Kiskunmajsa.
Harav Avraham Yakov Sofer (1878-1944) Rabbi of Tet, was the eldest son of Harav Yisrael Mordechai Efraim Fishel Sofer, Rabbi of Sárvár, who was the son of the Yalkut Eliezer.
Harav Avraham Chaim grew up in the home of his venerable grandfather and became one of his prime disciples. He was also a student of the Shevet Sofer of Pressburg. From 1904 Rabbi Gyomore, and from 1913 Rabbi of Tet where he headed an important Yeshiva.
He perished al kiddush Hashem in Auschwitz. Selections of his novellae were published in Zichron Efraim and Shu”t Mutzal Me’esh Hashalem.
