Rare & unique letter by the famous Rabbi Yehuda Zev Segal concerning the rescue of Jewish children of the Kindertransport in the Holocaust.
Very interesting & rare letter about how to go about with these children & the education challenges they face in spirit & body.
Written to Rabbi Shlomo Baumgarten who was a refugee from Vienna himself & was greatly active in rescue efforts as he served as a Chaplain in the British army.
Please see the Hebrew description for a partial transcription.
The famous Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yehuda Zev Segal (1910-1993), was a son of Rabbi Moshe Yitzchok Segal, a great Talmid Chochom, who served as Rosh Yeshiva of the Manchester Yeshiva.
At the age of 20, Rabbi Yehuda Zev went to the Mirrer Yeshiva, where he studied B’Chavrusa with .Rabbi Chaim Shmuelevitz and became extremely close to the Mashgiach Rabbi Yechezkel Levenstein. In 1933, he returned to England assisting his father in his Yeshiva and eventually succeeded him as Manchester Rosh Yeshiva. He was world famous as a great Tzaddik particularly known for his emphasis on Mussar, Shmiras Ha’Lashon and Tefillah and thousands across the world would seek his counsel and Brochos.
