See Hebrew description for a partial transcription of this extraordinary letter.

Rabbi Eliezer Silber (1882 - 1967) was a leading American rabbi in his generation. He was born in Lithuania & was one of the first disciples of Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinski, Rabbi of Vilna; and he learned by Rabbi Dovid Karliner and Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik.

In 1907, he moved to the United States where he served as President of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada and was one of the foremost Orthodox rabbis of American Jewry.
