Yury Pavlovich Annenkov, Russian, Soviet era, French, 1889 to 1974, pencil self portrait painting on paper, 1956. Signed with the initials, lower left. Yury Annenkov is a Russian artist, known for Book illustration, portrait painting, and costume design. Yury Pavlovich Annenkov, also known as Georges Annenkov, was born in 1889 in Petropavlovsk, Russian Empire. He also worked as a theater and cinema designer. He captured famous portraits of A. Akhmatova, A. Blok, Meyerhold and Trotsky, Lunacharsky. One of a kind of artwork.
