SOVIET POSTER OF VLADIMIR MAYAKOVSKY BY V. KORETSKY
A post-WWII Soviet propaganda poster. The print represents a portrait of Vladimir Mayakovsky, 1893 to 1930, a renowned Russian Futurist poet, artist, and actor. Inscription in Russian: I, as the spring of humanity, born in labor and in battle, sing my fatherland, my republic! The lines are a quote from the 1927 poem Khorosho. Design by Viktor Koretsky, 1909 to 1998, a Russian graphic artist. Published by State Publishing House of Fine Art, Moscow, 1953. Technical inscriptions in the lower part. Soviet Historical Collectables, Wall Prints, Russian Literature, Communist Propaganda.
