3 ANTIQUE MARBLE AND CLAY GRAND TOUR ITEMS
A lot of 3 antique marble and clay Grand Tour reproductions. The lot includes a hard stone carving of Hittite King Tarhunza, a rectangular marble seal, and a clay miniature vessel, decorated with relief floral motifs. The vessel is believed to be of Greek origin. Such objects were a popular souvenir production during the Grand Tour era, the 17th to early 19th century custom of a traditional trip through Europe, with Italy as a key destination, by upper class young European men.
