IRANIAN OIL PAINTING IN MANNER OF BAHMAN MOHASSES
A modernist oil on canvas painting in a manner of Bahman Mohasses, 1931 to 2010, an Iranian artist and theatre director. The artwork is an abstract portrait of a faceless man. Signed and dated 1966 on the backside. Wooden frame. Many of Mohasses public works in Iran were destroyed during the Islamic Revolution, with the artist subsequently destroying many of his remaining works in Iran. As a result, early works dating before 1979 are few in number and are especially sought after. Collectible Mid Century Modernist Fine Art, Persian Middle Eastern Art.
