A vintage American sterling silver letter opener by Tiffany and Co. The letter opener was gifted to Moshe Dayan, minister of Defense of Israel by John V. Lindsay, mayor of New York City in 1968. Engraved on the blade with the dedicatory inscription: Major General Moshe Dayan Minister of Defense of Israel From John V. Lindsay Major of the City of New York, February, 1968. The finial is set with the seal of New York City. Marked, Sterling, Tiffany and Co. Sterling Silver Desktop Accessories, American Historical Collectibles And Memorabilia. Total weight 30 grams.
