HANDMADE MID CENTURY FRENCH FAIENCE PLATE W CICADA
A handmade decorative faience plate with a relief cicada. This plate features a hand painted silhouetted landscape with a tall tree with a wide crown against the backdrop of a colorful pink orange sunset. On the surface of the plate is a large applied cicada with green eyes and folded wings. Signed on the reverse side. Has a holder for hanging on the wall. Presumably French, circa the 1950.
