MEXICAN ARMANDO ROMERO MIXED MEDIA PAINTING 1997
A large Mexican mixed media painting on canvas by Armando Romero, titled El Pez Magico or Magic Fish, 1997. The painting depicts a long orange red fish, on a light background. Chaotic inscriptions with felt tip pens, pencils, and pens are inscribed across the entire surface. Signed, titled, and dated lower right. Armando Romero, born in 1964, Mexican neo eclectic painter. The artist combines his versions of historic paintings with irreverent contemporary images, allowing emotion and reason free range. Armando Romero, also a sculptor, has brought to the forefront Mexican art, the only painter who had a solo exhibition at Zona Maco in Mexico City. One of a kind artwork.
