JAPANESE SATSUMA PORCELAIN SCULPTURAL HOTEI PLATE
An antique Japanese decorative porcelain plate. Late Meiji era, before 1912. Round plate with sculptural details representing Hotei and a prayer. The piece is hand-painted and gilded in Satsuma pottery style. Hotei or Budai, also known as Laughing Buddha, is a Buddhist deity of fun and prosperity.
