Afro Libio Basaldella, Italian, 1912 to 1976, oil painting on canvas depicting an abstract composition, 1960. Signed and dated, upper right. A paper label is on the backside. Afro Basaldella was an outstanding Italian abstract artist, a representative of lyrical abstraction, better known as Afro, as he signed his works only with his name. Afro celebrates improvisation, brightness, emotion and color in his artworks. One of a kind artwork.
