RUSSIAN GILT SILVER ENAMEL GEMSTONE EGG CASKET
A Russian gilt silver footed egg casket with hinged lid. Red guilloche enamel surface. Overlay decor embellished with diamonds, rubies, and emeralds features garlands, laurel wreaths, angels, and Imperial eagles. The cover has a figurative finial. An elephant figurine is mounted inside the casket. The cover is lined with velvet on the inner side. Jade base. Hallmark of 84 silver standard and makers marks are on bottom and on the rims.
