ANTIQUE JAPANESE MEIJI ERA SILVERED BRONZE FIGURINES
An antique Japanese pair of hen and rooster figurines from the Meiji period, 1868 to 1912. These figures look very naturalistic, as they are made with great attention to detail, most likely made of bronze. The body of the birds is silvered, the legs, beak and eyes are gilded, the combs are hand painted in red. The items are mounted on a massive wooden stand.
