ANTIQUE RUSSIAN SAINT GEORGE SILVER MEDAL 4TH CLASS
An antique Russian Empire St. George medal For Courage, 4th class. Features a left-facing portrait of Emperor Nicholas II on the obverse side, accompanied with the inscription By the Grace of God Nicholas II Emperor and Autocrat of All Russia. On the reverse side of the medal, there is the lettering For Courage, the class domination and the number. With the ribbon. This type of medal was intended to award lower ranks for military service in peacetime and wartime, by statute not suitable for awarding the George Cross. Circa the early 20th century.
